Blackwater Outdoor Experiences (BOE) has been providing adventure-based, experiential therapies and education for adolescents, young adults, and their families for more than twenty-five years. Founded by George Bright, MD. in 1980, BOE was created as an extension of the Adolescent Health Center (AHC) in order to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy.
BOE programs include 22-day intensive therapeutic expeditions, social skills development programs, ropes courses, school group programs, and custom programs. Our 22-day expeditions and custom programs take applicants from across the country, while the social skills and school group programs are directed at the local community.
