Our campers will explore the beautiful scenic Virginia wilderness while also exploring the possibility of self. Campers will paddle the rapids of the Shenandoah river, backpack trails, as well as rock climb and rappel the cliffs of George Washington National Forest. Campers will have the opportunity to accomplish these feats in a safe, nurturing and developmentally sound environment.

No prior wilderness experience is needed.

The program is designed to be fun, exciting, challenging and to inspire enduring recreational pursuits.  Program activities include:

• Canoeing
• Hiking & Backpacking
• Rock climbing

• Adventure based counseling activities
• Basic camp craft
• Fire starting
• Camp cooking
• Water purification
• Plant identification
• Wilderness navigation
• Basic wilderness survival skills
• Storytelling
